Extraordinary General Meeting – Voting Form

At the 2024 Extraordinary General Meeting on 7th September members are being asked to vote on two proposals to modify our Governance Rules. A full explanation of the reason for wanting to modify the Rules can be found in the August magazine and by clicking the PDF icon. The proposals are :

Rule 19 : talks about use of Society Funds. We propose adding a clause to it of :
“None of the income or property of the Society may be paid to or distributed among the members of the Society during its lifetime.”
Rule 25 : talks about dispersal of funds on dissolution of the Society. We propose changing it to :
“Dissolution of the Society shall require the Committee to pass all the Society’s remaining assets to a properly constituted not-for-profit organisation, as identified by decision of the Committee, and the Committee shall ensure that none of the assets of the Society are paid to or distributed among the members upon dissolution of the Society.”
